And a Full Ironman? Well, that is a different beast and I'll not surmise here....

Improving already...
Doing the drills given to me improved my swim speed by 1:1.09364.. In other words, I swam 25 metres in exactly the same time as 25 yards back home(ish. I mean the USA but England shall forever be my home). So, with one change in timing and a different head position, I am almost 10% faster, BUT the most important thing is I was nowhere near as out of breath as before. Ten percent! With less perceived effort. That is Hyowge. Oh, in case you're wondering, I can do one length in 26 seconds. So! To do the math, IF I could hold the same pace for the whole race, my swim for a half-ironman (1.2 miles) would be 33 minutes instead of the 47 minutes it actually took me to breaststroke last time. That is significantly huge. Given also that I had to stop to do a major piss FIVE times on the bike (ending in a 17.9 mph average), and FOUR times on the run as I'd put all my carbs in liquid and it was cold and wet on the day. So, let us fantasise my darlings. 14 mins saved on the swim. Two and a half minutes saved from pissing on the bike, two mins on the run. Plus the advantage of the new Hideously expensive bike - that means I could conceivably do a Half in six hours.....
